In 2006 Colombia signed a Free Trade Agreement with the United States amid an intense debate within the country about the impact of this trade agreement on various sensitive sectors of the economy, especially the agricultural sector. One of the most interested in participating in this debate unions is the group of producers of raw milk because of concerns about the enormous odds against perceived American milk producers. After within four years after the entry into force of the FTA in 2012, it is appropriate to review the panorama of the dairy sector, which is why the purpose of this research is to make an assessment of the impact of NAFTA on the Producer Guild of raw milk in Colombia. The central argument is that the United States-Colombia Free Trade Agreement has had a negative impact on the producers of raw milk Colombians because it has contributed to the reduction in the price per liter you pay them large companies in the dairy industry. For the development of this research are reviewed the most important aspects of the FTA negotiations in relation to dairy products, the flow of imports and exports four years before and four years after the entry into force of the FTA, the price behavior of inputs for the production of raw milk in Colombia from 2012 to 2015, and a comparison of prices of raw milk imported from the United States versus raw milk produced in Colombia from 2009 to 2015 is performed.
