Sujeto, técnica y hermenéutica fundamentos de la ciencia bibliotecológica y de la información desde un contexto ontológico, epistemológico e histórico social
This final paper intends to describe the process for the consolidation of the discipline as a science. To achieve this objective, several elements from human socio-historical, science philosophy, and the librarianship and information science phenomena were gathered. The reflection about the consolidation of the epistemological status of this discipline, leads to identify the outstanding paradigms that have directly influenced on the status achievement, thus, fundamental elements, for the librarianship and information science as subject, technique, and hermeneutics are identified in the different postures of intellectual production covered in the project, and their impact on the information and information units. This way, the history of librarianship and information science unveils how at the beginning, this science approached the positivist science and afterwards it migrated into the paradigms and epistemology of the sciences of the spirit, this project assumes the democratic materialist approach as claimed by the French philosopher Alain Badiou, a proposal that leads to evidence a commitment to the subject, thinking about librarianship and information science into the social-scientific perspective, so, from the hermeneutical method and the physical, cognitive and social paradigms exposed by Rafael Capurro, there are points related to the badiousian ontological thought. The assumption of ontological and epistemological trends allows to adopt a critical position toward the conception of the discipline and the distinction between the theoretical and epistemological foundation proposed into the professional practice itself.
