The current investigation encompasses an important solution to the problems caused to the marine structures by marine fouling on the ships’ hulls as well as the high fuel consumption due to deficient marine paint specifications and lack of inspection during the application of coatings. The main objective is to develop a business plan for the creation of a consulting company that will offer an effective solution and prevent the early deterioration and high costs associated with the operations of ships and marine structures. The research included the study of the relevant aspects related to the business idea, an analysis of the sector, market trends, the dynamics of the provision of services, a financial and organizational study and the inclusion of occupational health and the economic, social and environmental impacts of the company. The study yielded positive results such as innovation of the idea, differential and particular characteristics that generate a great profitability meeting important needs, not only for the preservation of the marine structures, but also for the security and protection of the goods and people who are transported by this important and big structures.
