This paper presents an application work of knowledge management to the implementation of an Integrated Management System in a hotel at Medellin city, using the methodology of identifying critical knowledge as a basis for the documentation of knowledge that has greater influence for the maintenance of the integrated system, adopting information technology and communication for the storage thereof and introducing within the organization instruments of knowledge management for socialization , finally concluding that knowledge management is a valuable tool for adapting the organization to the changing context of the legislation that applies to its productive sector.
