Sociology finds in housing a fertile ground for establishing deep and multivariate analyzes arguing the relationship of man in society with its space and its symbolic productions. Not only we are referring to an analytical abstraction that meets the morphological and methodology to be applied to any features contemporary social realities, we also refer to a problematic founded on the same development of society as a starting point for understanding the biological need of shelter or protection. Our habitat, designed and built in parallel with the modern history has suffered and suffers transformations at all levels deep, which are descriptors quintessential social, political, economic and cultural past and present systems. From one of the varied perspectives of the study of society, housing, I think, is a quintessential stage confluence social inputs needed to establish more valid interpretations of life in society, not only have historical structural component, described this in all dimensions of both the living and the residence, but also with the possibility of building space usage through primary social unit, the family and ownership of it. My proposal is a critical housing conditions established in two divergent scenarios from many points of view, but converging in some others, housing managed by its inhabitants through an autonomous relationship with the territory, and housing as a result of institutional management to solve a historical problem of deficits, with the aim of demonstrating the historical shortcomings in the design of a need for first order in a present that seeks to reorder the city life from global goals such as equality and dignity. Input, this is the epistemological problem that provides the subjectivity of the dignity and equality concepts, but consider the multidimensional analysis that makes up the sociological view of the house, you can provide the necessary tools to establish objective parameters in conclusion derived from the interpretation and individual projection of life itself, and I really think there is the mayor weakness in the design of the housing problems we live nowadays. However, I do not claim that is completely wrong interpretation of housing today, but it is incomplete, and these results in insurmountable difficulties for generating dynamic that will lead to an approach to overcoming segregation and the inconsistency of our current urban setting. While many of the weaknesses as they are identified as material, economic and structural, many others have failed interpret because they deserve an interpretation from other points of view, and in this time of analysis where we propose linking families, communities, neighborhoods and cities with the same land management, necessarily based on their symbolic constructions and cultural constitutions are already inherited orestablished. It is clear that the limitation of this proposal does not result in the ultimate determination of the concept of housing and building more efficiently dignity from it. But I think that it can contribute to the construction of a different vision of primary and indisputable live in dignity need.
