The presence of the Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus tick in the Ricaurte Province of the department of Boyaca is recent and has been the cause of improper use and without technical criteria of the chemicals recommended for its control. This research aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the acaricides Cipermetrin (15%, 225ppm), Amitraz (20.8%, 312ppm) and Triclorfon (97% 1500ppm) and to determine the best control alternative in the area. For the study, wild ticks from bovine cattle (Bos taurus) naturally infested on Gachantiva and Arcabuco farms were manually collected and taken for research purposes to the Animal Parasitology laboratory of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (Uptc) located in the city of Tunja, Boyaca. Based on the immersion techniques proposed by Drumond (1973), the Mortality Efficacy and Reproduction Control of each treatment were determined starting from the Thursfield formules (1997), the values were analyzed by variance analysis and compared to each other by Tukey's test (p
