The research presented has been developed to try to understand, from the coexistence and purpose of education, the need for the National Police of Colombia educate for coexistence. It has used a qualitative - quantitative methodology that allows a comprehensive approach to the subject matter. The research work has been developed with an emphasis socioeducative it sees education as a shared social project. Education for coexistence is a social challenge and is responsible not only the state but also of the family, and community organizations and institutions, both public and private.
