La competencia fonológica en el francés: diseño de una guía pedagógica virtual para fortalecer y profundizar la entonación en los estudiantes de los niveles avanzados de francés dentro de la Licenciatura en Lenguas Modernas en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, Colombia
In the Licenciatura en Lenguas Modernas (Modern Languages Bachelor) major from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Javeriana University) the student is prepared in the field of Linguistics. The objective is to apply it in the foreign languages teaching, with a focus in English and French. Based on this, the major looks after the students’ communicative competence development so that it resembles the one of a native speaker. The present paper means to strengthen the students’ intonation; students that are in the last French courses (levels 5 and 6). The principal objective, as a consequence, is to develop a virtual pedagogical guide that accomplishes with the already mentioned purpose. This guide will include activities to help the students in their intonation strengthening in an autonomous manner. It was key looking after the students’ needs in this process since, thanks to the interviews done to both students and teachers, the lack of knowledge in this skill was notable. Finally, the students will have the opportunity to strengthen their intonation, as it is already stated, in an autonomous way. This last point is fundamental since the time given for the French language teaching during the courses in the major’s program is not enough to teach more skills. There are also established in the program the objectives to accomplish, so adding the strengthening of the intonation as another objective in the courses would be very difficult, if not impossible, to accomplish.
