This research is oriented to the review and analysis of the Colombian policy on trade facilitation and the progress made to fulfill the commitments established in Chapter 5 of the FTA with the United States of America and the Agreement on Trade Facilitation of the WTO, The commitments to be met by customs to facilitate the import, export and customs transit. It also analyzes the existing business climate so that entrepreneurs can develop their foreign trade operations in better conditions, with ease and agility; Being able to be abreast in terms of standards of operation with more advanced countries, for which we review some indicators that allow to establish the times and costs of the shipments of goods, to determine if they are expedited as established in the agreements. The study covers the entry into force of the FTA with the United States of America (May 2012), until June 2016
