Uno de los metodos mas estudiados es la condensacion de fenoles con β-cetoesteres para la obtencion de cumarinas sustituidas; sin embargo, su obtencion se da con el uso de catalizadores acidos homogeneos. One of the most studied methods is the condensation of phenols with β-ketoesters for the preparation of substituted coumarins. However, their production occurs with the use of homogeneus acidcatalysts. In this review, some benign methodologies set out the environment for the synthesis of substituted coumarins. Presenting great attention in solvent-free processes and the use of radiation microwave andultrasounic, as alternatives to improve synthesis of coumarins.
