The structure models of biological origin, propose alternatives to solve a conventional engineering methods, motivating the development of prototyping techniques and models based on micro-scale and nano-scale. Using these techniques, to analyze features of nature, such as butterfly wing. The complex arrangement of its scales gives them butterflies flexibility, impermeability, strength, lightweight, self-cleaning, softness, thermoregulation dissipation and / or absorption of heat, among others. This study conducted a preliminary exploration of the topography of the microstructure of the wing amathea Anarthia and Leptophobia aripa collected in Pitalito Huila, where by using microscopy techniques optical (MO), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the wing structure was observed in order to find new alternative to develop prototypes for eco-design and green building. With the AFM roughness butterfly wings was obtained by SEM and details of the structure and composition of its wings, the two species most representative of the region butterfly was observed.
