A practice is a learning space where knowledge is applied, either in real environments, in laboratories or classrooms, they are carried out in order to train competent professionals that contribute to the economic, social and environmental. LAS PRACTICAS EMPRESARIALES Y CURRICULARES EN LA FACULTAD DE INGENIERIA INDUSTRIAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD PONTIFICIA 2 WEEF 2013 Cartagena While practices are not the only source of meaningful learning, this study shows the need for these and the impact it can generate in training professionals from the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellin. First characterization was performed business practices and curriculum in the School of Industrial Engineering, this was collected continuously through a literature review information that evidenced the importance of internships for students, higher education institutions and the impact on the industry, and finally assessed the level of satisfaction and the need to practice in each area and professional cycle course by students in eighth and ninth semester. The above activities allowed to know: the environment in which practices are developed at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, studies that show the contribution of these in education, in industry and in the development of students' professional life and interest students in internships that are closer to reality.
