This research starts developing the following question: what is the role of the wind in the poetic proposal of Aurelio Arturo? This question arises from two reasons: on one hand, from the interest in learning more about the poetics of wind presented in Aurelio Arturo’s literary works and, on the other hand, from getting a deeper understanding of what is the poetic conception that emerges from these works. To this question, it is necessary to add the necessity to understand what is the role and place of this poetry in the panorama of Colombian literature of the twentieth century. To develop this proposal, in the first place, I did a literature review, which allowed me to enable a dialogue with what critics have said about Aurelio Arturo’s poetry. This dialogue is about wind and its relationship with the poetic proposal of this author. In the second place, I analyzed the role of the wind in three poems published during the poet's life: “Clima”, “Cancion del viento” y “Morada al sur”. Moreover, I also interpreted a pair of unpublished poems, I and II. Finally, I question the position of these literary works within the panorama of Colombian poetry of the twentieth century. The last moment of this research is presented as an initial approach to a general overview, in which verses of Aurelio Arturo emerge as the possibility of doing future researches on this poetic work and its relation to other writers’ literary works.
