espanolLas revistas cientificas son uno de los mecanismos de circulacion del conocimiento especializado. En ellas se puede evidenciar, no solo puntuales intereses investigativos, sino tambien maneras de proceder frente al conocimiento; en otras palabras, el trabajo de sujetos que dicen preocuparse por el saber en algun asunto particular. En este marco, nos intereso comprender aquellas maneras en las cuales se presenta la discusion sobre el fracaso escolar, los horizontes hacia los cuales dichas investigaciones se encaminan y los fenomenos con los que se asocia. Tras el analisis de contenido de varios articulos del indice LATINDEX, la investigacion ha permitido establecer en que proporcion, las investigaciones alli planteadas, contienen elementos del sentido comun, de la ideologia o de la ciencia como marco de referencia investigativa. El analisis de este tipo de fuentes documentales, ademas, nos ha brindado la posibilidad de comprender como se investiga alrededor de un tema que presente multiples caras como el fracaso escolar, cuales son los conceptos y referentes que se toman en cuenta para su comprension, y como se construyeron los objetos de investigacion alrededor de dicho tema. Ademas nos permitido pensar como se esta entendiendo la investigacion por parte de la comunidad academica. EnglishThe scientific magazines are one of the specialized knowledge pour out mechanisms. On them, we can evidence not only specific research interests, but also ways of proceeding facing knowledge; in other words, people`s works who say to be worried about knowledge, in a particular issue. In this sense, this paper is interested in understanding those ways in which scholar failing discussion is presented, the horizons towards these researches are looking for and the phenomena it is associated to. After some of the LATINDEX index content analysis, the research has allowed to establish how much of the investigation given there have common sense elements, from both science or ideology, as a frame or research reference, and the way in which these frames give a political or either knowledge substance about them. The analysis of this type of documentary sources, moreover, has given us the possibility to understand how a multiple faces issue is researched in detail, an issue such as academic failing; what are the regarding concepts taken into account for its understanding, and how the research objects were built around the topic. Furthermore, this analysis has let us think about how research is understood from the academic community perspective.
