This article presents a critical analysis of Mario Bunge’s statement that the administrative discipline cannot be granted science status. To this end, an analysis and discussion about the concepts of technology and science is presented first, with the purpose of conceptually elucidating what is understood by science. Second, he realizes what the scientific method is and presents characteristics of the problems that are dealt with in epistemology. Finally, on the basis of the observations presented and clarified, two general conclusions are given: first, the administration to achieve pure science must have as its main objective the inquiry by the truth itself, because in continuing with the Purpose of control, will continue in the technological research that is pragmatic and operational. Second, the administration could be estimated as science when it meets three requirements: a) A subject-object relationship, B) scientific method and C) organization.
