Every profession has its own characteristics in both theoretical and practical aspects. These features are signs of distinction and must be consistent, in order to show relevant content for the professional identity seeking by a university program. This project, result of a research in the Master of Education of the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada - UMNG, wants to characterize the Multimedia Engineering, identifying the specific skills, to bridge the gap between what is taught and what a professional should know about their working requirements. It is integrating learning with the productive sector and defining the relevance of education from specific skills developed in the subject content, particularly in emphasis electives. Also, it’s important to identify professional and work in specific environments for Multimedia Engineers of the UMNG, which progressively realizing its scope needs, will take boom in the production environment and will define its profile and its relevance to the production of goods or the provision of services. This project aims to be a guide in this case, as setting a program using a relatively new engineering in Colombia, which are common and interrelated aspects: the specific learning with the use of media resources, the pedagogical model of UMNG, specific skills, characteristics that identify the program with their identity and curriculum content with work demands.
