espanolEsta tesis doctoral afronta el tema de la innovacion en las empresas familiares, concretamente estudia los factores internos que determinan la capacidad innovadora. En primer lugar, se realiza una revision de la literatura, tanto del concepto de innovacion empresarial como de los factores internos organizacionales determinantes de la innovacion. En una segunda etapa, se ha realizado una investigacion cuantitativa a traves de la tecnica del cuestionario aplicado a 127 pequenas y medianas empresas cuya informacion ha sido complementada con entrevistas. Ademas, se comparte la elaboracion de una taxonomia de los determinantes y modelo de evaluacion de los mismos para ser utilizado en procesos de desarrollo organizacional o consultoria. Por ultimo, se exponen algunos temas de discusion surgidos a partir del analisis cuantitativo realizado, asi como tambien unas conclusiones y recomendaciones finales para futuras investigaciones. EnglishThis work deals with the issue of family business innovation management, specifically studying the internal key factors that determine the capacity innovation. In the first place, a review of the literature is made, both of the concept of business innovation and of the internal organizational factors that determine innovation. In a second stage, the results of the review are compared with in-depth interviews with experts in order to give a greater robustness to the research before conducting a survey that was applied to small and medium-sized business families. In addition, a theoretical framework on innovation in family enterprises is proposed, which clarifies some key concepts. A survey model is presented to evaluate the internal factors of the innovation capacity of family firms. Finally, the results of the survey applied to 127 business families and a quantitative analysis of them, as well as conclusions and final recommendations for future research, are shared.
