The design of the conceptual model to streamline the environmental management of watersheds from a socially responsible approach, is based on the need to present a proposal for environmental management which leads to more effective watershed recovery plans, to help preserve and improve the environmental performance of the same and involving all governmental and community entities, with a true focus towards sustainable development as the main objective of social and environmental responsibility, which will contribute to the economic, environmental and social development of the environment. Watersheds are indispensable in the environmental ordering of a country because of the importance of water resources in the development of life, hence the proposal to develop a model of environmental management of watersheds from a socially responsible approach, based on a systematic and strategic participatory process, with a logical sequence, interrelation, replication, universality and adaptability.
