The aim of this research is to identify the main shifts on communicational practices of university students, the changes on their social interaction manners due to the generalized use of mobile devices and the implication these have on the behavior of their social and academic life. The increasing craving of these devices, a wide offer and all data plans available, plus the generalized adoption of these tools as vital way of rutinary communication, call up to reflect on their use and the need of alphabetizing critically the youngster public. With this research, the shifts on language and social relations protocols are made evident, It also lets identify a communication characterized by the predominance of instantaneity and ubiquity, chat’s and instant messaging use instead of face to face meetings, adding the dependence on the tool as an extreme consequence of their social use.
