Resumo: Este artigo explora, atraves de uma revisao bibliografica, um tema relevante no atual contexto do universo feminino o “Complexo de Cinderela”. O termo foi usado pela primeira vez em 1981 por Colette Dowling e descreve o conteudo inconsciente da mulher que busca pelo principe que ira lhe tirar das situacoes dificeis, protegendo e salvando-a em antagonismo ao ideal da mulher contemporânea que e autonoma, independente e que saiu da condicao de mae e dona de casa para o mercado de trabalho. De acordo com a bibliografia analisada, mesmo diante das conquistas que a mulher teve no decorrer dos tempos, ainda se encontra na mulher moderna, caracteristicas que permitem a comparacao com arquetipo feminino da “Cinderela” das historias infantis ocorrendo uma luta interior e esses aspectos do inconsciente lhe causam sofrimento psiquico.
