This article presents the results of a research project about the new logics and relationships in the educa-tional field of the social worker, so that in this sector the work of education and teaching can be developed satisfactorily. It describes the different functions that have been assigned to the social worker to contribute to a state of educational well-being and make certain proposals for a better job of this professional in the teaching contexts. Finally, an objective and functions are proposed to support a new model of social wor-ker participation in education.
