The development of Life Skills such as critical thinking and assertive communication are intended to contribute to the national purpose of daily construction of peace, family and civic coexistence. This proposal is developed from our educational institution, so that students and their families implement and strengthen the psychosocial skills necessary for the construction and development of personal, family and community processes of non-violent coexistence and peaceful resolution of conflicts. Critical thinking facilitates the capacity for self-criticism. It is to acquire a relevant perception on socially relevant issues such as injustice, violence, social inequity, among others. An expanded view of the sociocultural influences reflected in attitudes, values, points of view and behaviors. It is increasing the ability to understand and respect the intellectual curiosity, ideas and opinions of others, even if they are not shared. The context offered by schools allows children and adolescents to develop behavior patterns in addition to incorporating elements that contribute to the construction of their personality. In recent years, the need has arisen to implement and develop a comprehensive educational process, for children and adolescents, that allows them to face social changes and the new demands of our times. This is how UNESCO has proposed that all forms of education be oriented on the basis of four great learning or pillars in a true education for life: learning to be, learning to learn, learning to do and learning to live together. From there, the concept of Life Skills arises. The purpose of this approach in the educational centers is given through the curricula in which the teaching of these skills is part of the educational school programs so that they achieve a healthy life, the improvement of health and well-being conditions as well as the opportunities for learning and human development for the entire educational community.
