In relation to the learning of foreign languages, Information Technologies provide support for this process. According to several interviews and surveys aimed at English learners, tools such as: music, movies, apps and video games contribute positively in the learning process in this language. While interest in investigating in the field of Information Technologies and learning a foreign language is denoted, several projects have researched the influence of educational or multiplayer video games in learning a foreign language, although the results have been positive, it is required going deeper in this subject. This is why, this research describes the impact that brings long experience playing the game The Sims 4 in relation to learning vocabulary in English as a foreign language. Being, The Sims 4 a video game that simulates real life, I act under the assumption that this will enhance the learning of English lexicon. In relation with the methodologic process, it was used a mix focus, due to it were used processes and instruments for collecting qualitative data, and quantity data. In addition, it were used thinking process which were inductive, deductive and hypothetic-deductive. The objective was to probe the hypothesis, it was built a game experience in which the gamers presented a pre exam before to begin and a pos exam at the end of the long experience of game. The results presented that some of the participants learned vocabulary in a different way. Finally, it was concluded that thanks to The Flow State and the low affective filter, the learning of new word was favored.
