The objective of this study is to model the hydrologic and hydraulic aspects of flood events in the Bogota River in the area between the Tocancipa and Chia municipalities. The information was provided by the Corporacion Autonoma Regional de Cundinamarca CAR and IDEAM. Modeling comprising HEC RAS model and model linear dynamic water levels. The results show that errors of HEC-RAS model as to the physical quantity of stains flood errors far exceed models that do not use flow variable.
