In this text the reasons by which FINCORTEX (International Festival of Short Experimental Films) was created and how it has been acquiring fame in the fields of video and audiovisual creation related to learning and knowledgeare exposed. Both, in its face to face moment as well as in the web two different festivalmoments are highlighted, first the selection and the awarding of prices together with an academic event; and second, equally important, the internet displaying of these works where they can be appreciated in moments others than the institutionalized and how these moments establish themselves as enriching spaces where artist and public recognize each other. Reference to concepts of art in the web, designers, audiences, communities and its relationships in the contemporary context are made.
