Objective: To describe the early clinical results of patients who underwent hip prosthesis revision using a cemented dual mobility cup on an acetabular reinforcement ring. Place: Central Military Hospital. Bogota D.C. Colombia. Population: Patients who underwent a revision of hip prostheses using a cup of double mobility cemented on a ring of acetabular reinforcement from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2015 that meet the inclusion criteria, for a total Of 11 patients. Intervention: Not applicable. Design: Descriptive observational study of a series of cases. Measurement: Descriptive variables of the demographic and clinical aspects were evaluated; Such as age, gender, indication, ring type, complications. Analysis plan: The systematization, processing and analysis of the data was performed using the SPSS version 21 program. Absolute, relative frequencies and summary indicators were used according to the type of variable. Results: 54.5% of the patients presented ASA II risk; The most frequent indication for surgery was aseptic loosening. The most used types of implants were the Kerboull ring and the cemented Quattro cup (8 cases). 10 patients required additional reconstruction in the acetabulum. Conclusion: The review of hip prostheses previously described, is safe because of its low proportion of complications, re-revision and mortality.
