This is a pedagogical reflection that goes through the educational theories, since their beginnings with Rousseau, Pestalozzi, Frobel, Herbart and Dewey and his pragmatic concept of education , until arriving to those traditional authors, followed by the cognitive theory proposed by Ausubel and the significant contribution of “La Escuela Nueva model” as well as the theory of Communicative Competence. Without doubt, these theories opened a way to post-modernism, representing the latest pedagogical alternatives leading to a more modern discourse about education, including tecnological and transformational advances. They force us to rethink and renew the way academic communities work and the way interaction with Tics in educational institutions has been accomplished.
