The study was empirical descriptive because on the one hand, a quantitative analysis of the frequency of occurrence of terms and their different forms was done, and on the other, there was also a qualitative analysis, since the behavior of ATIs in different contexts was observed and described. The research arose from the need to make visible the processes and techniques used in the translation of specialized texts, in order to broaden the understanding of such techniques and enrich this process, since there was no a scientifically valid proposal to resolve the problem of translation of the ATIs. Finally, it became clear that the only translation technique for the ATIs is the loan; the italics (Cur) and the parentheses () are the most common writing forms for the ATIs in Spanish, in addition to other writing forms such as Spell Variation. The disparity among both, translators and experts, was also stressed in the management of the ATIs.
