Traditionally, the Foreign Policy of Colombia has been designed and implemented in an unthinking and reactive way, without profound theoretical and conceptual evaluation on the international scenario in which it has place, nor about the variables that influence it, the goals it looks for, or regarding the means through that public policy can be put into operation. This article presents shortly the main concepts of Postmodernism and Constructivism in international relations, and evaluate how useful those theories could be in assessing and studying on the matter of the Colombian Foreign Policy.
