Technology transfer is a set of processes that allow the flow of technical, empirical and scientific knowledges applied systematically to the development of a product or service. The ecuadorian macro model of technology transfer has to the Center for Technology Transfer (CTT) like core, which appropriates the technological expertise to translate them into technologies that meet the needs and strengths of the country. Technology transfer is recognized as a tool that favors the transformation of the productive matrix from an extractive specialty to an agribusiness, as claimed by the Government of the Republic of Ecuador. However, this productive potential of the country is marred by tracking foreign development patterns, slow appropriation of imported technology, the small budget invested in R & D, inefficient results of the Activities of Science, Technology and Innovation (ACTI), among other aspects that favor the Ecuadorian breach of the ecuadorian macro model of technology transfer exposed by the SENPLADES.
