Background: The concern that has arisen by the high rates of poverty and hunger in Colombia has led to the development of strategies and programs of action that support the needs of populations in terms of food insecurity and nutrition. Objective: Identify the scientific evidence available in Colombia from 2008 to 2016, regarding the community dining program in the technical nutrition component of the Secretaria Distrital de Integracion Social of Bogota. Methodology: A bibliographic review was carried out in different data bases as: Scielo Colombia, Redalyc, EBSCOHOST, Proquest, Google Scholar and Institutional repositories of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Nacional de Colombia. A narrative review of the findings and contents of the selected studies was carried out, using a matrix in Excel as a collection tool. Results: Five (5) studies related to the objective of the research were found, they showed one or more components of the community dining program. Conclusions: The studies under compliance in the caloric percentage provided at lunch was not fulfilled. The periodicity of height and weight controls is not precisely established. Also, it was observed that activities promoting healthy lifestyles have little reception and adaptability.
