Simulación de juego de naipes como estrategia de solución al problema del slotting de picking de unidades sueltas en un sistema mecanizado: propuesta de investigación
The study presents a methodology to balance the workload of picking areas of separated units in a mechanized system in terms of frequency, volume and weight. The methodology assigns each SKU to a zone picking using a card game simulation taking rational and random decisions. At the first step is presented the mathematical formulation to solve the problem of balancing the workload. Given the difficulty to solve problems with many variables and restrictions, is developed a simulation model based on a card game using an analogy where each SKU corresponds to a card and each picking area is represented by a player. Gini coefficient is used as a basis to define an indicator to measures inequality of workload with three characteristics (frequency, volume and weight). Finally, is developed an experimental design to identify the best game cards configuration to solve these problems using this simulation.
