Pope John Paul II, in his interest to highlight the greatness of the person, marriage and the family, conducted between 1979 and 1984 six cycles of weekly catecheses on human love in the divine plan, with reference to the words of Christ the Pharisees on the indissolubility of marriage –referring at beginning- ; the Sermon on the Mount on lust and resurrection of the body, its glorification. These three biblical circumstances (creation, incarnation and resurrection), illuminate the way of understanding the body and sexuality; He teaches a way of perceiving this mystery by vocation to marriage and the single life. Through the theology of the body, the saint tried to show the truth of man as body and spirit in the light of revelation and the encounter with the Person of Christ.
