Cambios en los repertorios de flexibilidad psicológica en personas trans a partir de una intervención basada en la terapia de aceptación y compromiso -ACT-
Transgender people face among their lifespan multiple stressors because of assuming a gender identity which is different from social expectations. This stressful events are conceptualized under the minority stress model and its influence has been identified as a predisposing factor of their overall psychological state and psychological flexibility. This study aimed to identify the effect of an intervention based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on the repertoires of psychological flexibility in five transgender individuals, for this purpose an AB within-subject design was used, with scalar and behavioral measures. The results show that there was an increase in the repertoires of psychological flexibility among the participants, indicated by the decreasing of avoidance behaviors and the increase of values-oriented behaviors.
