The current research was done in Clinical Juan N Corpas with the main goal to analyze and identity the training needs in the professional health team when they handle death episodes in the intensive care unit with the target to improve the attention offered to the patients, family members and the community in this kind of situation. The methodological design was based on the hermeneutical paradigm and qualitative approach. For this purpose was developed a semi structured interview to an intentional sample of professionals who were part of emergency and intensive care units. Later was developed the respective analysis and interpretation that showed evidence the lack of training of the health team related to death and mourning topics. For this, it is presented an academic proposal for your consideration.
