This paper makes a diagnosis of the processes of management and administration of documents, with emphasis on the Propuestas de Mejoramiento Social, produced by the Programa de Liderazgo Universitario Latinoamericano at the Javeriana University, in order to establish a tool of the type Digital Information Unit that allows the inventory, organization, administration and consultation via web of the missionary documents of the Program by the students of the University. For the development of this Digital Information Unit, we reviewed the types of units most appropriate to the solution and thus a conceptual and theoretical model of the elements that constitute the Digital Information Unit, which contains an organic scheme, a functional scheme, Usage policies and the software required for its execution.
