The aim of this graduate project is to understand how young adult s narrative of themselves is set with despair to their construction of the anticipations for the future, and the contribution made by systemic psychotherapy to the identity transformation of the participants. For that purpose a qualitative methodology of research - intervention was used with a case study design, with the participation of two men and one woman between 24 and 34 years of age. The results were analyzed based on the following categories: relational differentiation dynamics, belief systems present in the family of origin of the consultants, and the relation of the mentioned with the configuration they have made of their identity. At the same time, the narrative of the participants was analyzed and described, based on three moments of the intervention (beginning, middle and end) and the experimented changes. In conclusion, it should be noted, that the construction of identity is permeated by the family s beliefs and dynamics, diagnostic labels, gender discourse, the power to recognize themselves as distinct individuals, autonomous in their relationships with significant others, being important during the process, the generation of reflective spaces with a critical perspective, for the recognition and expression of their own emotional states, new meanings about the diagnosis, different stories about themselves, enabling the construction of future horizons.
