INCLUSIÓN LABORAL: Percepciones de las mujeres en ejercicio de prostitución de la Localidad Los Mártires sobre las habilidades socio-emocionales y competencias laborales que ellas necesitan para ingresar al mercado laboral en Bogotá
The main goal of this thesis was identify the perception of women dedicated to prostitution in the Los Martires locality regarding the main socio-emotional abilities and job skills needed to enter in the Bogota labor market. The qualitative methodology adopted was the one based on parameters of Participatory Action Research (IAP by its spanish acronym). In total, 21 semi-structured interviews were conducted in three different subgroups of the female prostitution population: 1) prostitutes; 2) women in transition to leave prostitution; 3) women who left prostitution. In addition, a focus group and 6 interviews with experts on these topic were conducted. The results displayed that it is necessary to strengthen socio-emotional abilities of women throughout therapy and progressive support, in which personal and network support, especially with family, is the most important. Likewise, the results suggest that despite the development of job skills are needed, there are barriers to getting a job that are associated with low educational level, little or no labor experience, age range and lack of preparation in a special profession.
