This dissertation aims to analyse the main effects of the XIII Chinese Five Year Plan in the Colombian economy. It analyses the Chinese economic policy described in the Five Year Plan taking into account the economic objectives that can influence the economic system at the international level. From this analysis the influence of the Plan on the Colombian economy is exposed taking into account the commercial and political situation between both countries. The main objective of this paper is to generate options to take advantage of the opportunities arising from the Five Year Plan and generate strategies to mitigate the threats implied by this economic policy.
