The present research is delimited to create knowledge in the integral Management of dangerous an non dangerous wastes, generated at the main maritime ports located in the city of Cartagena, in order to establish guidelines and prevention strategies, control and minimization of the environmental impacts produces by the maritime an land activities, developed at the installations of Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC) and Terminal de Contenedores de Cartagena (CONTECAR S A) The integral Management of dangerous and no dangerous waste is delicate world wide issue due to the final disposition, while the world keeps evolving, human society have been changing structures, production and consuming schemes. Through the evaluation of the guidelines of integral Management of dangerous and non dangerous wastes, the port industry should propose strategies focused on (Cleaner Production and Sustainable Management), that allows reducing the negative impacts on human health and contribution to the restoration and preservation of the environment, as well as the maximization of the value indicators, wastes exploitation and being reference of good practices to the different economies The guidelines and strategies defined to the integral management of dangerous and non dangerous wastes, establish the reduction in wastes generation, the rise of wastes exploiting and increasing the culture of recycling and wastes segregation.
