La fraternidad universal que instaura en su praxis existencial San Francisco de Asi es re-pensada por los maestros de la Escuela Franciscana en terminos categoriales de naturaleza filosofico-teologica.Juan Duns Escoto, inserto en esta tradicion, nos expone una revaloracion de la voluntad y la afectividad humana, en donde rompe con la clasica concepcion medieval, de concebir a la voluntad y a la afectividad como fuerzas ciegas e irracionales y las interpreta como una nueva forma de pensar, como fuentes de una singular racionalidad afectiva que implica en el actuar humano una nueva forma de relacionarse con el mundo y con los otros. La explicitacion de la tesis anterior se rea-lizara en los siguientes acapites: I. Perspectiva Escotista de la Voluntad. II. Algunos Rasgos de la Doctrina Escotista de las Pasiones. III.
