Esta investigacion se enfoco en evaluar el impacto de la implementacion de un ambiente de aprendizaje combinado (b-learning) a traves de la creacion de un entorno personal de aprendizaje disenado para desarrollar la habilidad lectora en los ninos de primer ano de educacion basica; para lo cual, se realizo un estudio mixto cuasi-experimental con 19 ninos de tres escuelas de Colombia, Ecuador y Mexico donde a traves de pruebas de habilidades linguisticas (Rosselli-Cock, Matute-Villasenor, Ardila-Ardila, Botero-Gomez, Tangarife-Salazar et al., 2004) y metalinguisticas de tipo fonologico (Diaz y Yakuba, 2000), encuestas y la observacion in situ se evaluo el nivel de desarrollo de la conciencia fonologica, el desempeno lector y los niveles de motivacion tras la intervencion pedagogica. Al finalizar la propuesta, se concluyo que el uso del b-learning influye significativamente en el aprendizaje, aunque no es el unico medio para el desarrollo de dichas habilidades. Development of Reading Ability in First Grade Students by Using B-Learning This research is focused on assessing the impact of implementing a blended learning environment (b-learning) through the creation of a personal learning environment designed to develop reading skills in children in the first year of basic education; for this, a quasi-experimental study was conducted with 19 children from three schools in Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico where through language skills tests (Rosselli-Cock et al., 2004) metalinguistic and phonological (Diaz and Yakuba, 2000), surveys and observation in situ where the level of development of phonological awareness, reading performance and motivation levels after the educational intervention was assessed. At the end it was conclude that the use of b-learning significantly influences learning, however, is not the only way to develop these skills.
