At present, studies have been conducted throughout the world, which has been proven in recent years the increase in the consumption of supplements by people who practice some form of physical activity. In Spain, 56.14% of those attending fitness centers have consumed a supplement on occasion[2], while consumption in the American population between 2005 and 2006 increased to 53%[3]. Unfortunately, in Colombia there are no statistics on the supply and demand of for athletes registered. For this reason it is imperative to characterize the ergogenic aids - nutritional categorized as sports foods by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and are marketed in Bogota D.C. The total population were 125 establishments where supplements are marketed, for sampling stratification by localities and proportional allocation was made to select the number in each was determined randomly selecting 66 establishments, finally it was only possible to collect information on fourteen of them. 275 products in total were identified, prevalenciendo the food with 86 representatives. Energy intake, macro- and micronutrients were very relative average between different products, energy intake and carbohydrates predominated in the liquid food, while the protein with whey protein and fat in bars.
