Resultados: los dos pregrados evidenciaron un indice de masa corporal (IMC) normo-peso (24,02 ± 4,1 para los dos grupos). El porcentaje de grasa y somatotipo fue de 19,9% ± 6,2 y 18,7% ± 8,9 y Endo-mesomorfo y endomorfo-mesomorfo para Medicina y Educacion Fisica respectivamente. The collecting of data was carried out taking into account the indications of the International Association of Kinanthropometry. Participants involved in this study were 86 medicine students and 84 physical education students aged between 18 and 30 years. Results: Students of both academic programs evidenced a body mass index (BMI) normal-weight (24.02 ± 4.1 for both groups), fat percentage and somatotype was 19.9% ± 6.2 and 18.7 ± 8.9%, Endo-mesomorph and endomorph-mesomorph for Medicine and Physical Education respectively. By Gender, it was observed over-weight BMI in male students of Medicine, and the highest percentage of fat (21.28%). Conclusion: Both groups have similar results, however, Physical Education had better ratings in some variables.
