Factores agroecológicos que han incidido en la conservación de tubérculos andinos en agroecosistemas tradicionales de Turmequé y Ventaquemada, departamento de Boyacá. Período de estudio 1970-2015
Turmeque municipalities and Ventaquemada in Boyaca are an important conservation center specifically cubios Andean tubers (Tropaelum tuberosum Ruiz y Pavon), ibias (Oxalis tuberosa Molina) and rubas (ullucus Caldas). Although the processes related to the industrialization of the country that have been adopted in the region, these three species have been cultivated in the traditional agro-ecosystems in the area and are considered of great importance in their diet and culture. This research analyzed some factors that have influenced the conservation of Andean tubers for a period of 45 years. For this he had a methodological approach to qualitative under which, semi-structured interviews were applied to the different producers in the area and historical mental maps of their farms were made to rebuild the configuration of their agro-ecosystems throughout the period study. The data analysis was based triangulation where the relevant information related to the conservation of these three Andean species grown in the study area was put into dialogue. It was found that traditional agroecosystems Turmeque and Ventaquemada have been systems dynamic production that organize and shape depending on the decisions made by their owners, decisions are influenced by socio-economic, political and institutional factors and that in some way affect the agrobiodiversity. Despite the above in 8 agro-ecosystems studied they were found grown cubios, you went and rubas, these species are maintained in the fields long with particular practices that have had a significant change and allow conservation. One of the factors affecting the conservation of tubers in the municipalities of Turmeque and Ventaquemada is the informal or non-monetary exchange is done locally and the presence of some institutions that have developed focused on care training, workshops, technical assistance environment, the importance of good management and use of biodiversity and other performing accompaniments in participatory research projects directly related to the use, management and marketing of Andean tubers in the area, events that allow even the Andean tubers are kept to through planting, care, traditional use, exchange and marketing.
