Mobbing is a type of violence characterised by psychological abuse manifested through strategies of harassment in a labour context that can cause serious psychological damage and deterioration of quality of life of the victim. Additionally, it generates large economic cost’s due to the desertion of labour. Furthermore, it affects the health care system due to mental and physical illness associated with it. In Europe, its prevalence is higher than 8%, while in Colombia it exceeds 19%. In our Country mobbing is regulated through Law 1010 from 2006; the objective of this paper is to analyse and determine possible conceptual and methodological gaps that could be limiting its preventive scope.
