The current writing shows results of a process of adaptation and validation of a scale designed originally to assess the quality of human resources practices in organizations. A translation from English to Spanish and also semantic and cultural fitness were done. This scale was designed in the context of a research in China, aimed to assess the quality of human resource practices, within the analytical context of High Performance Work Systems (Gong, Law, Chang & Xin, 2009). The original scale had 48 items intended to measure eight types y human resource practices. The translated and adapted version was applied to a sample of 3143 employees from educational, industrial and services organizations in Chile, Colombia and Mexico. Item analyses were done, as well as exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, reliability, t tests and anovas, following classic psychometric principles. Results obtained evidenced highly convenient psychometric indices that enable the scale for applied and research uses.
