Metrology supports research and industrial innovation, and directly supports quality activities,leading to a demand for more competitive professionals. This paper shows a demand study for services planning to a laboratory based on the needs of the industrial sector as the main strategy to provide services in metrology, showing the variables and instruments increased demand for metalworking and plastics industries in Antioquia. It´s also presented the regulations it must fulfill to be applied in the principal variables detected.
