espanolLa responsabilidad ambiental es un compromiso que deben asumir los establecimientos dedicados a prestar el servicio de alojamiento y hospedaje a lo largo y ancho de la geografia colombiana, responsabilidad que esta contenida en la norma tecnica sectorial colombiana NTS TS No. 002 del ano 2006 del Instituto Colombiano de Normas tecnicas ICONTEC, la cual contiene los requisitos de sostenibilidad en establecimiento de alojamiento y hospedaje, por lo cual se realiza la presente investigacion con el proposito de conocer el grado de aplicabilidad de esta norma y el grado de avance de implementacion del sector hotelero de la ciudad de Ibague Colombia, en temas relacionados con el ahorro de agua y energia y el manejo de todo tipo de residuos generados en el desarrollo de su actividad economica. Es a partir del ano 2016 que la norma NTS TS No. 002 se vuelve de obligatorio cumplimiento, pues en este ano vence la fecha maxima de implementacion, dado que en anos anteriores se venia culturizando sobre la adopcion de las normas de cuidado medioambiental, las cuales fueron desarrolladas voluntariamente por algunos hoteles. En el estudio se encontro que el 100% de los hoteles de la ciudad de Ibague Colombia afiliados al gremio economico Asociacion hotelera y turistica de Colombia COTELCO capitulo Tolima, tienen un alto compromiso con el desarrollo y gestion de la responsabilidad ambiental y como tal el 100% dispone de un programa para el manejo de los residuos solidos, ahorro de agua y de energia. Sin embargo solo el 68% de los hoteles afiliados a COTELCO cuenta con senalizacion de areas naturales y el 51% realizan actividades de mejoramiento continuo para generar impacto sociocultural en el sector. EnglishEnvironmental responsibility is a commitment to be assumed by establishments engaged in providing the service of accommodation and lodging throughout the Colombian geography, responsibility is contained in the sectorial technical standard No. 002 Colombian 2006 Institute Colombian technical standards ICONTEC. This industry standard which contains the requirements of sustainability in bed and lodging, so this research is conducted in order to determine the degree of applicability of this standard and progress of implementation of the hospitality industry city Ibague Colombia, on issues related to saving water and energy and managing all types of waste generated in the development of their economic activity. It is from 2016 that the standard No. 002 NTS becomes mandatory, because in this year expires the deadline for implementation, as in previous years came generating culture on the adoption of the standards of environmental care, which they were developed voluntarily by some hotels. The study found that 100 % of hotels in the city of Ibague Colombia economic union affiliated hotel and tourism association Tolima Colombia COTELCO chapter , have a high commitment to the development and management of environmental liability and as such 100 % has a program for the management of solid waste, saving water and reduction of energy. However only 68% of the affiliated hotels COTELCO signaling has natural areas and 51% engaged in continuous improvement to generate sociocultural impact on the sector.
