The author expounds that using the faculty of reason and of education is how the human being may become free. The lack of education and of critical knowledge maintains the human being in a state of servitude similar to slavery. The critical knowledge is the only one which makes possible the exercise of rights, the progress of individual, of institutions and the attainment of a just state.
